About Me.
Hi, I’m Angie.
I’m a wife, a mom, an introvert, a sports-mom chauffeur, and what I like to call the Queen in a house full of Kings.
Most days, life is busy. We are running from field to field, court to court, trying to remember where everyone is supposed to be and what time we are supposed to get there.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I am still learning how to make room for myself too.
Several years ago, after my divorce, I found myself searching for love for my life again — and honestly, for myself too.
One of the first things I did was something incredibly simple:
I started a skincare routine.
It sounds small, and maybe it was.
But it became more than skincare.
It wasn’t the skincare routine that changed my life. It was what taking care of myself began to bring out in me.
Confidence.
Consistency.
A little more self-worth.
A little more willingness to believe that I was allowed to feel good again.
That small act eventually led me down a completely different path, and somewhere along the way, My Blooming Beauties was born.
This blog is not about becoming a better version of yourself because the person you are now somehow isn’t enough.
It is not about doing more.
It is not about chasing perfection, following every trend, having the perfect skincare routine, being the perfect mom, or somehow managing to have every part of your life figured out.
I definitely don’t.
This is a place for real life.
We talk about beauty and skincare, self-care, confidence, marriage, motherhood, surviving family life as a major introvert, wellness, faith, personal growth, and all the messy parts in between.
Sometimes I’ll share something useful.
Sometimes I’ll share something personal.
Sometimes I’ll write about something that made me laugh, something I learned the hard way, or something sitting heavy on my heart.
And sometimes I’ll share my poems and pieces of myself that do not fit neatly into any category at all.
One thing I never want this space to become is another corner of the internet telling women what they need to fix.
There are enough voices telling us to be more productive, more organized, healthier, prettier, calmer, more present, more successful, and somehow less tired while doing all of it.
I would rather this be a place where you can come exactly as you are.
Maybe you leave with a skincare tip that actually makes your life easier.
Maybe something I write makes you laugh because you have been there too.
Maybe you feel understood.
Maybe you remember that taking care of yourself does not have to be another item on your to-do list.
Or maybe you simply realize you are not the only woman trying to figure all of this out as you go.
My faith is also an important part of my story.
I believe God did not bring me through everything I have been through just for me to pretend the difficult parts never happened.
The mistakes, the heartbreak, the lessons, the growth — they are all part of how I got here.
And if sharing some of that can help another woman feel less alone, then I think there is purpose in it.
That is really what My Blooming Beauties means to me.
Blooming does not mean becoming someone completely different.
Sometimes it means finally becoming more of yourself.
So if you are figuring yourself out, raising a family, rebuilding confidence, learning to take better care of yourself, laughing your way through the chaos, or simply trying to make it through a very full season of life…
You are welcome here.
My hope is that every time you visit, you leave feeling a little lighter, a little more confident, a little more understood, or maybe inspired to do something kind for yourself.
I’m really glad you found your way here.
XO,
Angie
