GLP1 Week 1 Report

By Angie Strefling July 28, 2026

Last Monday I started my adventure on my first ever GLP1, Semaglutide. I am using Mochi Health online and so far I’ve been extremely satisified! It’s been so easy from signing up, to the first zoom appointment, to receiving my medication just days later. I love that I don’t have to wait for, drive to and be present in a doctor’s office to make it happen.

The shot itself is super easy and the needle is so small, I don’t even feel it when I give it to myself in my stomach. Thank God for that!! Monday and Tuesday last week I had mild nausea a few times on and off, but nothing like I expected really. I am already prescribed Zofran for a temperamental stomach so having that for the few waves of nausea was so helpful! My appetite did decrease, but not to the extent that I’m just not eating at all. I have been prioritizing my protein with protein shakes at lunch and a balanced dinner with portion control. It definitely has helped so much with my hunger noise. It’s so much easier to know that I’m full or I’m not actually hungry, but just eating for the heck of it. I have also been making a lot more conscious choices. When I am hungry I now am thinking twice about what is actually good for me instead of just binging on whatever.

I did lose three pounds this week, but I know three pounds is not noticeable. However, what I did notice was a significant decrease in inflammation and bloating. Just towards the end of last week, I was like wait!! My face, stomach and just overall body felt and looked less bloated. Love that result! Just for background I am 45, perimenopausal with PCOS and hypothyroidism.

I still need to work on increasing my water intake and steps per day. Somedays I make it there while others I don’t. Today was the second shot and luckily no nausea at all so far! I’m going to continue to work hard at this and get back to a healthy weight again.

‘ll be back to give you all a second week update! Have a great week!!
